Good Morning America!

Once again, I am progressing nicely with my weight loss journey.  Yesterday did not bring any results for today.  Melancholy about that, but it was short-lived.  March on!  I did my 35 minutes on the elliptical and walked 1/2 mile and jogged 1/2 mile.  I hope to improve on the jogging.  I ran at 3.5 on a 1-1/2 incline.  This has my my thighs tight.   Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Another uneventful day

Well, yesterday I ate healthy meals, even though last night I ate an ice cream sandwich (160 cal.).  I also had less than a handful of walnuts and about 40 pistachios.  I don’t know if that is the reason the scale did not move, but that probably is the reason, right?  Yesterday’s exercise said I burned 425 cal.  So not for anything, that should have taken care of what I ate at breakfast.  I guess it is time to try something different.  I read Christie’s post this morning (Thanks Christie for the info), so I will rest (from exercising) for a couple of days and increase my calories by the 10% (probably with fruit) and see what happens.  I refuse to go the way of South Beach, because two weeks without fruit is unthinkable.  I’ll post if the new trick has made an impression, or not.

Good Morning Buddies

Happy Monday to Everyone!

I had a fantastic weekend.  The weather was beautiful which gave me and the Kid a chance to play in the park yesterday.   I have a (potential) future Olympic track star; so he’s off jumping, climbing and running.  He did however, want me to push him on the swing for 1/2 hour, so I guess that is considered some type of upper body exercise.   He is so carefree, and watching him at play does the heart good.  Yesterday I went to a travel party (presentation on home-based business), so I did splurge a little.  This did not sway the scale in either direction, so I am still where I’m at.  This morning for breakfast I had Fiber One, All Bran and granola mix.  Lunch will be salad with mushrooms, and pieces of roasted chicken.  I will more than likely have the roasted chicken and pasta for dinner.  I am still gunning to lose the eight pounds by month end.  I will go to the gym during lunch and workout for at least 45 minutes.  Wish me Luck!

Keepin’ it Moving

Well I made it to the gym five days straight.  My gym mojo is still at high.  Today I used the treadmil for 25 minutes and the elliptical machine for 25 minutes.  Once again, I could not stop sweating.   We are forecast to have a beautiful weekend, so I plan to spend a couple of hours in the park with my son.  Maybe I’ll run after him (maybe I’ll take the day off from exercising).  Lunch was light — turkey breast (that is some dry meat), and celery sticks with hummus.  I’m doing laundry this evening, so I hope lunch will keep me going until dinner.  I might need to grab some nuts.  All in all, my day has been great and I am still on a happy high!

Rejoicing

I can’t help but feel happy today.  Reading our buddyslimmers’ blogs, I smile.  I know some of us have gained some of the weight we’ve lost, but by the end of the blog, most understand why and know what to do to get back on the fast track.  You can do it.  There is no reason you can not do it.  Do you remember how your body felt when you lost 10 pounds!  ISN’T THAT MOTIVATION!  Get your booty in motion!  Stay committed to yourself!  You have a long full life to enjoy!   You will SMILE when you SEE and FEEL your progress.  NO MORE EXCUSES! NO MORE!

Semper Fi (Always Faithful)

Right back where it ended…

At one point I was at a plateau (for two months).  I lost 27 pounds and some how gained four of those pounds back.  I was having such a difficult time getting my loss to 27 pounds.  Even after the 4th of July weekend long celebration, the weight crept up one pound.  I was semi-disgusted with myself, but knew I would press on.  And I did.  I kicked my workout up a notch, and now I am right back where it ended…at a 27 pound loss!  Yah Hoo for me!  I would like to lose eight pounds by the month’s end.  If I can keep my gym mojo going, I believe I can do it.  I only pray I do not hit another plateau — I can’t take too many of those.  In a blink of an eye, summer will end and it will be time for me join the new contestants of “The Biggest Loser”.  But with all of this, I realize that permanent, healthy weight loss does take a couple of years (in my case).  Happy Thursday Everyone!

Back on the fast track!

I so look forward to losing weight and am happy with the results so far.  This is what keeps me motivated.  I’ve been away from the gym, but returned with full force last week.  After every workout, I feel so much better; rejuvenated.  Why is difficult to exercise every day?  I don’t know, and I’m not trying to figure it out.  I am pleased with the progress I have made and I have a great future.  My eating habits have changed slightly.  I am not eating Fiber One and All Bran for breakfast.  They really fill you up.  This way I eliminated my mid-morning snack.  I have also eliminated my pint of B&J’s.  I am now snacking on ice cream bars.  This way I can have my cake and eat it to.  If the thought of hypnosis did not make me uncomfortable, I would probably try it to rid me of my ice cream addiction.

Yesterday was a hot one in Jersey.  93 degrees!  My exercise of choice was walking.  I believe I sweated off one pound!  I couldn’t stop sweating, even after taking a cool shower.

Everyone stay cool, and remember losing weight is a small part of your life; don’t let it consume you.
