Good Morning!!

Well another week has passed, and I have not lost a pound.  I contribute that to my lack of exercising this week, due that friendly reminder of womanhood.  I used the incumbent bike yesterday for 30 minutes hoping that would jump start my metabolism, but nothing.  Oh well.  Forge onward.

I have stayed with my breakfast of oatmeal, and salad with tunafish for lunch.  As for dinner, I will try to incorporate more of the food groups.  During The Biggest Loser, Kim(?) said each meal should contain a protein.  I will try to eat more of it.  In as much as I love to cook, it is very difficult cooking for 1.5 people.  My son does not eat much.  I do not want to spend one weekend day cooking for the week.  There are some days when I will only eat a couple of rice cakes with peanut butter for dinner.  I hope using the elliptical machine today (I will aim for 40 minutes) will add to my weight loss.   I want to be below 220 before the weekend.

Enjoy the day!!

Doing better than good, better than most

Glory to God, and prayers to all the Buddyslimmers who need something extra.  The next minute is always better than the last; don’t live in the past.

Exercising is a blessing in disguise.  It relieves stress; puts you in a better place by releasing all those little ‘morphins.  Knowing that you will eventually lose weight and inches, makes it all worth while.  Yesterday I used the elliptical machine for 35 minutes doing the “all over body intensity” program.  My legs did not feel as rubbery when I finished.  Food intake did not change.  I am stuck on eating oatmeal with granola for breakfast, lowfat yogurt for mid-morning snack, and a big salad with canned light tunafish for lunch.  I always get my vegetable intake during lunch because dinner is always the toss up.  For dinner I finished the fried chicken leg (sans skin) my son did not eat.  I also had frozen yogurt for desert.  So with all my good work, I stepped on the scale this morning (I post my weight once a week) and low and behold 2 lbs. gone from my body.  Oh what a feeling!!!  Keep this up and the weeks ahead will be a piece of cake.

Another day, but not another pound

Good morning early bloggers.  I watched my FAV reality show last night — The Biggest Loser.  Comments were already made about the show on this site.  I agree with the comments.  You can tell that some have put on weight.  I would love to see how all (at least most) former contestants are doing.    I remember when Matt and Suzy did an interview together, shortly after the show ended, they put on weight, noticeable weight.  I would love to be on the show.  Like everyone else, I feel that if I worked out five hours a day, and only given certain foods to eat, I also would lose 10 to 20 pounds a week.    Enough of that..

Did my weigh-in this morning, and once again the scale did not budge.  What gives??  Calorie intake has not changed, nor has my exercising.  I did do the interval program, so I would expect a little drop in weight, but nada.  I guess I will see what tomorrow brings.  I will use the elliptical again today for 35 minutes.  And a funny thing….last night I attempted sit-ups — HOW FUNNY!!  I stopped after doing four.  It did not discourage me.  I will continue every night (almost) to build myself up.  Talk to you all soon!

Good Afternoon

Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.  I’m nursing a cold.  Anyone have home remedies for treating a cold?  Being at work and dealing with this, does not make a happy camper.

After not exercising for five day, I used the elliptical this afternoon.  I did the “all over interval” program.  It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.  The program ran for 30 minutes, with a 10 minute (?) cool down.  I used the arm swings for 25 minutes.  I felt I could do without the arm movement for the remaining time.  Since I did not loose weight last week, I am hoping to remove at least two pounds from my frame this week.  Send me a blessing.  I know my mini goal of 215 is attainable, but I would like to see that happen by the end of the month.  One of my favorite reality shows — The Biggest Loser — debuts tonight and I would like to lose with the contestants.  The first show will be an update episode.  I am looking forward to seeing how the past contestants have kept up the weight loss.  :)
